Flock is a
free browser, based on
Firefox, that adds complete integration with all web services and social nets.
When the first Internet browser were launched, the main use that we gave them was basically to browse websites. Nowadays we use them to view our email, interact with our friends, play, view and edit images, write blogs y take part in social nets with Facebook.
Flock provides a
small toolbar that we can use to
interact with our
favourite social networks.
The toolbar unfurls a vertical column where we can view and take the pertinent actions with our contacts from the majority of social nets like
Twitter, Pownce, Digg or Facebook.
We can also use it to directly check our
Google, AOL or Yahoo! email account, and our favourite
RSS feeds.
It can also unfurl another vertical column in which we will observe the contents of our hosting services sites like
Photobucket, Picasa Web Album or Flickr, also videos from
Youtube.
Moreover, we can write an entry for our
blog and save texts, links and images from any website using drag and drop.
Since it is based on Firefox,
Flock can use
plugins and extensions. Its design is nicer and with more stile than Firefox, but as a drawback it is normally behind Mozilla's browsers updates.
If you are a common user of Facebook, Twitter or Flickr, try this browser, you will probably love it.
